New Fosse Park extension to open to shoppers next month

The £168 million development features a new food court and shops including Next and H&M.

The Crown Estate, who own the site, said certain shops should be open for click and collect as early as the 1st April.

All other eligible businesses will be open from the 12th if the government's roadmap continues as planned.

Work has been underway since April 2019 with developers placing emphasis on creating an environmentally sustainable shopping area. As such they have installed 16 new electric car charging points, 500 solar panels and 5,000sqm of planted areas, including green walls, hedgerows, trees, insect hotels and wildflower meadows.

Michael Bell, Senior Asset Manager at The Crown Estate, said: “I’m so pleased to announce the completion of our development at Fosse Park.
