Officers searching for a woman who was reported missing from her Leicestershire home have found a body in Markfield.
Jane Reeder, 55, was last seen at her home in Narborough around 9.30am on Tuesday 22nd December.
Leicestershire police say they were called to Billa Barra Lane, Markfield on Wednesday 23rd December following a call received from a member of the public at 10.25am.
East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended and a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say a formal identification of the body has yet to take place and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
In a statement Leicestershire Police said: "Officers searching for a woman who was reported missing from her Leicestershire home have found a body in Markfield today (Wednesday 23 December).
"Officers attended the scene in Billa Barra Lane following a call received from a member of the public at 10.25am.
"East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended and a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Formal identification of the body has yet to take place but it is believed to be that of Jane Reeder, 55, who was last seen at her home in Narborough around 9.30am on Tuesday 22 December.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious."
