
Money was granted to Loughborough Pride to contribute to the setup and delivery of the 2025 Loughborough Pride event.
16 projects, ranging from facilities at sports clubs to financial advice services and mental health and wellbeing clubs have been awarded funding from Charnwood Borough Council.
Sports clubs in Sileby have benefited from the latest rounds of Charnwood Community Grants with Sileby Town Cricket Club receiving £15,000 to improve the female changing rooms and toilets alongside Sileby Town Football Club receiving £1,500 to purchase new furniture for their clubhouse.
Cllr Liz Blackshaw, the Council’s lead member for neighbourhoods and communities, said: “I am really pleased that we are able to support local community projects in the latest round of Charnwood Community Grants funding.
“These projects are at the heart of our communities and funding like this is vital for them to continue their invaluable work.
“I would like to encourage community projects in Charnwood to have a look into the funding that they are able to receive.”

Charnwood Community Facilities Grants:
- 15,000 to Sileby Town Cricket Club towards improving toilet facilities and female changing rooms
- £7,500 to Modern Painters, New Decorators for phase 2 of their fit-out of a new arts and community space
Charnwood Community Grants:
- £5,000 to Melton and District Money Advice Centre to support general running costs due to increased demand for debt advice.
- £5,000 to Soar Valley Outreach to fund a Financial Coach for 3 days per week to meet increased demand.
- £5,000 to New Life Community Church to contribute towards continuing the post of the foodbank Warehouse Manager.
- £5,000 to Go-Getta to create and support the setup of a Charnwood Youth Council.
- £5,000 to Regul8 Mental Health & Well-Being to fund additional community de-stress club sessions for young adults and children.
- £4,000 to Loughborough Wellbeing Centre and Wellbeing Café to continue "Mindful Mondays" Wellbeing Café, supporting people with mental health challenges.
- £4,000 to Loughborough Pride to contribute to the setup and delivery of the 2025 Loughborough Pride event.
- £4,000 to Charnwood Toy Library to contribute to the first year’s rent following relocation and support growing membership.
- £3,000 to Mind Aid UK to continue delivery of mental health and wellbeing support sessions at Thurmaston Community Centre.
- £2,875 to Passion Youth Church to contribute to annual rent costs and support growing membership.
- £2,500 to Peter Le Marchant Trust as a contribution to a new boat trip project for people with disabilities.
- £2,000 to Ratby Cooperative Band to support the delivery of free community concerts in Charnwood.
- £1,540 to Steps Charity to increase capacity through staff training, reduce waiting times, and meet growing demand.
- 1,500 to Sileby Town Football Club towards the purchase of new tables and chairs for the clubhouse for members and wider community use.
