Road closures were in place while emergency services attended the incident this morning.
Leicestershire police say they were called to the Borough in Hinckley this morning (Tuesday 1st September) following a report that a man was on a roof of a building.
A statement from the force said: "Shortly after 7.10am police were called to The Borough in Hinckley following a report that a man was on a roof.
Officers attended, along with colleagues from the East Midlands Ambulance Service.
The man was spoken to and came down at his own accord. He has been taken to a place of safety.
Road closures were in place while emergency services attended. They have since reopened."
