Essential workers will be able to book lateral flow tests in Hinckley from 8th February.
The new site at Westfield Community Centre in Hinckley will complement others across Leicestershire offering rapid coronavirus tests specifically for people not showing symptoms who can't work from home.
Already fast tests are being offering Swannington, Blaby, Wigston and Loughborough.
The lateral flow tests are self-administered at an approved test site – and you can leave the site straight after you have taken your swab.
Results will be sent out by text or email by the end of that day. Sites will be open 6 days each week. Anyone who currently cannot work from home and is eligible, will be able to book a test here.
Rapid testing has been offered in Nuneaton since December 2020 and can be booked here.
From Mon 8 Feb a Community Rapid Testing Centre is to open in Hinckley. Testing is for all key workers, or those who can’t work from home at the moment, who don’t have symptoms and aren’t already isolating. Eligible workers can book a test at https://t.co/UxMCq55CXR pic.twitter.com/TlRdKeRt1G
