The 2020/21 subscription had been extended for two months due to the pandemic.
Garden bins with the 2020/21 sticker will continue to be collected until 31 May 2021. Those wishing to continue the service for the next year must renew online or over the phone by April 30th.
For the first time in five years, the price has risen to £30.
Director of Environment and Planning at the Borough Council, Matthew Bowers said: “The decision to increase the charge for garden waste collections is one of many difficult decisions the council has faced this year to help reduce the costs of providing services.
"Like many councils we have a much reduced budget from central Government and our income has reduced substantially, particularly in the last year, while our costs have continued to rise."
For those not renewing, the council advises either composting at home or taking garden waste to the recycling centre.
