Edith will turn 100 at the end of March.
Mountview Care Home, in Rothley, are appealing for birthday cards as one of their residents turns 100 next month.
The care home wants to give Edith 100 cards on her special day and to do this they need the communities help.
Stacie Weaver, the manager at Mountview Care Home, said "We are like one big family here so we just want to make it a day to remember. Hopefully, we'll be able to invite the community and celebrate her birthday with her."
It is hoped that by her birthday, on the 31st of March, restrictions in care homes will have eased so that she will be able to celebrate with her family and friends.
Since the appeal went out people have offered to bake her a cake and also to deliver flowers on her birthday.
Cards can be sent to Mountview Care Home, 1093 Loughborough Road, LE7 7NL, addressed to The Manager- Edith’s 100th birthday.
