A woman in her 60s was taken to hospital.
Emergency services were called to Pevensey Road yesterday afternoon after a report that a woman had been attacked by a dog inside the property.
The woman, who is in her 60s, was taken to hospital and her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A woman, in her 20s, also suffered injuries in the incident and was treated by paramedics at the scene.
Leicestershire Police, said: "The dog, a Staffordshire bull terrier, was found to have suffered a stab wound injury at the scene. The dog was confirmed deceased by a vet.
"Police enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident."
