The scheme is to help boost trade in the town centre.
Love Loughborough BID and Charnwood Borough Council are launching a brand-new scheme, to encourage shoppers to visit the businesses in the area.
Ward’s End Quarter High Street Boost will see a variety of businesses offering their customers a £5 gift voucher to spend in Loughborough Town Centre, when they spend £10 in a selected store.
There are £10,000 worth of gift vouchers available by shopping in the Wards End Quarter but these can be redeemed in over 55 businesses in the town.
Lisa Brown, BID manager, said: “We are hoping the scheme will encourage higher footfall and more spend within the area with the incentive to receive gift vouchers in return for spend.”
The scheme aims to boost high street footfall and encourage customers to support local businesses by shopping and spending locally.
Councillor Jenny Bokor, lead member for Loughborough, said: “We are delighted to support this scheme and would encourage people to visit Ward’s End, Devonshire Square and Bedford Square. The High Street Boost scheme is a fantastic offer and we look forward to seeing people supporting their local shops, cafes, pubs and other businesses.”
The public can also benefit from free parking for 1 hour at Bee Hive Lane car park.
