The man's body was found on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to the Nuneaton canal near Tuttle Hill on Sunday 2nd of January after a member of the public discovered a body in the water.
A statement from Warwickshire Police said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time and a file will be passed to the coroner.
"While formal identification is yet to take place, police have informed who they believe to be his next of kin."
No further details have been released.
