Police are appealing for witnesses.
Police were called to the collision in Wanlip Lane on Tuesday 7th April.
It involved a cyclist and a silver Vauxhall Astra car.
The cyclist, a 70-year-old man, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham by ambulance at the time with serious injuries. The man died in hospital on Saturday (18 April).
The collision happened near the area of The Cedars Academy and officers are continuing to appeal for any information in relation to the incident.
Detective Constable Pete Davies said: “A man was taken to hospital following this incident and was receiving treatment. Sadly he died in hospital on Saturday.
“We are continuing to carry out an investigation to establish the full circumstances of this incident and we continue to appeal to anyone who did happen to be in the area at the time and who has any information to make contact.
“As previously stated, we do understand there may have been pedestrians in the area when this collision happened. Please think back – were you were one of those pedestrians? If so, I urge you to make contact with us.
“Or were you driving in the area at the time of the incident, or prior to it? Please check any dashcam footage you may have and please make contact with us regarding any information you may have,”
