A woman has died following a collision in Stoney Stanton.
Police were called to the incident in Station Road at 12.05pm yesterday (Monday 7 January).
The collision involved two vehicles, a car and a van. The driver of the car died at the scene.
The driver of the van was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to life changing or life threatening.
Station Road, between Stoney Stanton and Elmesthorpe was closed for most of the afternoon whilst enquiries were carried out.
