Garden waste will not be collected in Nuneaton because a large number of staff are isolating or sick.
The green bin collection service will be suspended this week (19/07/21-25/07/21) due to staff shortages from sickness and isolation requirements.
Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is asking those customers affected to please utilise the household recycling centres where possible.
Green bin collections will not take place from Monday 19th July to Sunday 25th July.
The council says it anticipates that the service will be back to normal from 26th July.
A discount on next years’ service is being considered for those affected by the service suspension and details of this will be confirmed in due course.
As we will not be able to carry out these collections at a later time, whilst continuing to work on scheduled services; those affected by this weeks’ suspension will need to wait until their next scheduled collection for their bin to be emptied - or take their waste to a household recycling centre.
Use of household recycling centre for garden and food waste is free for householders in Nuneaton and Bedworth.
