There will be a face-painter and magician in the town centre.
Children are invited to take part in a pumpkin decorating competition in Loughborough town centre on Friday October 22.
Charnwood Borough Council is hosting the event as part of its continued celebrations of the 800th anniversary of the Loughborough Markets and Fair.
Councillor Jenny Bokor, lead member for Loughborough, said: “We are excited to be hosting another fun event at our fantastic Loughborough market as part of its 800th anniversary. I am confident that we’ll see a good number of participants and have plenty of spooky fun in the lead up to Halloween. We look forward to seeing you all.”
Children under the age of 12 can decorate a pumpkin on the stall at Market Place (outside Loughborough Town Hall) between the hours of 10am and 2pm.
The winner will be announced on the day on social media and will be contacted to arrange for the collection of their prize.
Families can sign up for the competition in advance via the Council website or turn up on the day and take part.
