Event organisers are working with police and the borough council to minimise the impact on traffic.
The Betty Hensers Horse Fair will take place on the weekend of the 24th to 27th June 2021.
Charnwood Police said, "The event takes place on land that is privately-owned, and it is the responsibility of the event organiser(s) to decide if an event goes ahead.
"Leicestershire Police and Charnwood Borough Council are working together to offer guidance and support to the organisers and the local communities in the lead up to the event and for the event itself."
In previous years the event has caused congestion on the A5 as hundreds of visitors come to the fair.
