A 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with the stabbing in Quorn last week.

Cohen Barley, of Hawthorn Road, Mountsorrel, has been charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article.

Police were called to Station Road just after 6.15pm on Thursday (23 April) following the report that two men in their 20s had been stabbed.

One of the men sustained a puncture wound to the side of his body during the incident. The second man was taken to hospital with an injury to his hand and stomach. He has since been discharged.

Barley will appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 28 April).

Two men, aged 23 and 24, and a 27-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released on police bail.
