A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following a report of assault in Whitwick.
Police were called to a property in Silver Street shortly after 4pm on Wednesday 10th June.
A spokesperson from Leicestershire police said: "When officers arrived, they found the victim - a man in his 40s – had suffered injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening. He has been taken to hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
The man arrested remains in custody and officers are continuing to carry out enquiries in the area of Silver Street at this time."
