It follows a two vehicle collision in Haunchwood Road, Nuneaton.
Police arrested a 32 year old man from Nuneaton on suspicion of drink driving after officers were alerted to a two vehicle collision in Haunchwood Road, Nuneaton at 08.26 hours on 1 January 2020.
Fire and ambulance were also called to the incident involving a silver Primera saloon and a silver Vauxhall Astra.
The driver of the Vauxhall Astra was taken by ambulance to University Hospital of Coventry & Warwickshire for treatment to an open fracture to his ankle. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink driving. A 21 year old female in the same vehicle suffered a number of fractures and was taken to George Eliot for further assessment and treatment. A 22 year old male also in the same vehicle was also taken to George Eliot Hospital for assessment and treatment.
The male driver of the other vehicle suffered an injured shoulder and was released following treatment at George Eliot Hospital.
Road closures were put in place to allow emergency services to attend the scene and Highways England to remove oil from the road.
