Restrictions will be in place up and till Monday 22nd August.
Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order along Ashby Road and surrounding roads for the next seven days.
Various temporary restrictions are required from 16th August 2021 for up to 7 nights, closing from 20:00 till 06:00 each night.
The restrictions will be enforced as follows:
- A512 Ashby Road - closed, in both directions, between Holywell Roundabout and M1 Junction 23.
- New Ashby Road - closed at its junction with A512 Ashby Road
- Old Ashby Road - closed at its junction with A512 Ashby Road
- Snells Nook Lane - closed at its junction with A512 Ashby Road
- A512 Ashby Road - A Temporary Prohibition of Waiting and Loading' restriction will be enforced on both sides of the carriageway between Holywell Roundabout and M1 Junction 23
Temporary 40mph and 30mph speed restrictions will be enforced between M1 Junction 23 and junction of A6004 Epinal Way.
The Council said it will allow resurfacing works on A512 Ashby Road.
It will create an 11 mile diversion which will be signposted.
