Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery in Bedworth in the early hours of Sunday morning (11 March).

Between around 12.30am and 1am, an 18-year-old man was walking on Field View Close when he was grabbed from behind by a man.

His pockets were searched and his bank card was taken while two other male offenders were present. He was also threatened to give his pin number.

A silver car pulled up and one of the offenders got in, leaving the scene with the victim's bank card while the other two stayed with the victim.

Around five minutes later, the car returned and one of the offenders stated the bank card hadn't worked. The men tried to take the victim in the car to another cash point, but he refused. They then walked him to the ESSO garage on Coventry Road to try his card in the ATM and at the shop counter. The card did not work and no money was withdrawn.

The car then turned up at the garage and the offenders left with the victim's debit card, iPhone earphones, a black Fred Perry jacket and some of his money.

The offenders are described as four men, one of whom was driving the car. Two of them are described as being black and were wearing balaclavas, and one of them was described as Asian. They all spoke with Birmingham accents.

Investigating officer, PC Jade Badhams based at Bedworth Police Station, said: "This was a frightening incident for the victim, but thankfully he was not injured.

"The offence took place in several locations and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed it to please come forward. Perhaps you saw the car with a group of men in acting suspiciously, or heard an incident taking place?

"Any information, however insignificant it may seem, could help us to identify those involved."

To share information, please phone Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident reference 199 of 11 March 2018.

Information can also be given to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
