A car was written off in a crash in Seagrave last night.
The driver of the Ford KA managed to escape with only minor injuries, even after having his seatbelt plugged in behind him.
It happened last night in Paudy Lane in Seagrave, Charnwood.
Leicestershire Roads Policing Unit took to twitter to warn drivers of the dangers of driving without a seat belt.
"A seat belt isn't for plugging in behind you, they're there to save lives.
"RTC attended earlier which could've ended tragically but thankfully on this occasion that was not the case."
