The Queen’s Baton Relay will visit Loughborough on Monday 11th July.

Charnwood Borough Council would like to hear from residents who have a connection with the Commonwealth Games to celebrate the Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay passing through Loughborough on the 11th of July.

You could have volunteered at previous games, attended as a spectator or even competed at the Commonwealth Games.

They are asking people to share their memories at the Council’s celebration event in the town centre.

Cllr Jenny Bokor, lead member for Loughborough said: “We can’t wait to welcome the Baton to Loughborough on an afternoon which is set to be filled with lots of fun entertainment for the whole family.

“The Council is keen to hear from residents who may have a story to tell about the Commonwealth Games which they would be willing to share at the celebration event."

Submitted stories and photos will also be published across the Council’s social media channels and website.

If you would like to get involved in the celebration event by sharing your story, you can complete the online form at www.charnwood.gov.uk/CGStories.
