Three men jailed for 'county lines' drug dealing in Leicestershire

They received a total of 8 years and 11 months in prison between them.

Three men have been jailed for their involvement in county lines drugs operations in Leicestershire.

Ayden Dixon and Shane Williams were sentenced to three years and four months in prison and Martin Watson two years and three months at Leicester Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday 25 August).

Investigations into the drugs supply began in February 2021.

Officers discovered that Dixon controlled a supply of class A drugs that was distributed to vulnerable people to sell on.

Further enquiries led to the execution of warrants at several addresses in Leicester on 31 March.

The three men were subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of bring concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

On 6 July they pleaded guilty at Leicester Crown Court.

Detective Inspector Emma Matts said: “We work continually to keep drugs out of our communities and to protect vulnerable people.

“We urge anyone with any concerns about potential drug crime to please get in touch.

“We act on all reports we receive.”
