A tribute has been paid to Barry Leader who sold eggs on Loughborough Market for 25 years.
A wreath was placed on his stall with a message that read “in loving memory of a dear friend.”
Charnwood Borough Council announced Barry's death in July:
"It is with great sadness that we have to pass on the news that Barry Leader, one of our well known and much-loved market traders has sadly passed away. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time."
Barry sold locally sourced eggs and produce on the market for over 25 years and was a familiar face to many Loughborough Market customers, who we know will greatly miss him."
Barry's stall was known for its eco-friendly approach with recycled packaging and solar powered lighting.


The stall was recently selected as a finalist for the FSB Small Business Awards in the Green Business of the Year category.
Charnwood Borough Council shared a video fo Barry from 2019 when he was interviewed about his time on the market.
