There's a risk of choking as the button batteries are easy to access.
A Light Up Ghost & Pumpkin sold by Poundland has been recalled as the battery compartment is easy to get into.
On the Gov.uk website it describes the risk as high as 'the button batteries may be placed in the mouth and swallowed, presenting a choking hazard for young children and causing damage to the gastrointestinal tract.'
The discount shop started selling the product on the 1st of October 2022.
If you have bought this product the guidance is to not use them and to return them to where they were bought for a full refund.
Poundland has said: "We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. However, the safety and confidence of our consumers and the quality of our products is at the heart of everything we do."
The Halloween decoration does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
