Fire engines from Coalville, Shepshed and Birstall were called to assist Leicester firefighters.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a large fire at Walkers Factory, Leycroft Road, Leicester this morning.
A spokesperson from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received a call at 10:43 this morning stating the factory was filling with smoke and there was a possible fire on the roof."
Nine crews from fire stations across the county attended to the fire and engines from Coalville, Shepshed, Birstall were called to help.
It has been confirmed that there were no casualties.
A Walkers spokesperson said: “Our Bursom Road site in Leicester was safely evacuated this morning due to a fire on the roof of the building. The fire has now been brought under control and the fire brigade remains on site as a precautionary measure. Everybody on site has been accounted for.”
