Multiple crews have attended a large fire in a field on Kegworth Lane outside Long Whatton.
Pumps from Loughborough, Shepshed and Castle Donington Station were tackling the blaze, with support from over the border colleagues from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Local residents were told to remain indoors and close windows and doors to avoid smoke inhalation.
The fire, which was confirmed as a wildfire measuring more than 100,000 square metres at its height, has now been extinguished.
Crews will remain at the scene damping down. Overhead pylons have not been affected by the fire.
