The centre will provide thousands of tests and appointments for local people.
NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board (LLR ICB) has announced that outline planning permission has been granted for developing a Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Hinckley.
The CDC is a £24.6 million investment that will provide CT and MRI scans, endoscopy, X-ray, and ultrasound facilities for people in Hinckley and the surrounding areas.
The approval has been granted by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council.
Helen Hendley, Director of Planned Care for LLR ICB said: “This is a significant step forward in the development and we would like to thank the Council for working with us, resulting in the application approval.
“It has been great to see work happening on the site to enable, from early 2025, a fully operational CDC, providing thousands of tests and appointments for local people”.
