A 26-year-old man has been charged following a collision on the A46.
Niks Rogacs, of Acacia Close, Leicester, has been charged with the following offences and is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court:
- One count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving
- One count of theft of a motor vehicle
- One count of using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance
The charges relate to a collision involving a Mercedes van and BMW 1 Series. The driver of the BMW remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Following the collision, the force’s Professional Standards Department was informed, and the incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
