In addition to being used by pupils, the sports centre is also available to the community.
Hastings High School in Burbage has officially opened its new school building.
The large block has a sports hall, dance studio and classrooms for science and design technology.
The ribbon was cut on the building by two of the school's governors, Brian Dalby and Clive Kidd.
