Wearing masks and using the NHS Track and Trace app is still encouraged.
On Monday (12th July) the Government confirmed that from July 19, Step 4 of the roadmap will go ahead and most legal restrictions to control Covid-19 will be lifted.
This means masks and social distancing will no longer be required by law.
Yet Charnwood Borough Council is 'strongly encouraging' businesses to continue with some controls on transmission.
These measures include:
- Maintain cleanliness and use of hand sanitisers where possible
- The continued promotion of checking in and displaying QR codes to support NHS Test and Trace.
- Promote the wearing of a face covering in enclosed and crowded spaces and when in contact with people you don’t normally meet.
- Use outside space where practical and consider the supply of fresh air to indoor spaces.
- Identify poorly-ventilated areas in the venue and taking steps to improve air flow.
- Maintain one way systems if possible.
- Considering individual risks, such as clinical vulnerabilities and vaccination status.
