Visitors are being reminded that personal use fireworks are not allowed at Bradgate Park.
The Trust which runs the local attraction issued the warning on its facebook page earlier this week after fireworks debris was left discarded at the top of Old John Hill.
The post read:
"Please remember that we DO NOT allow fireworks on the Park. As well as leaving this huge mess for staff to clear away, fireworks disrupt and endanger our wildlife. What is especially concerning at this time is the danger of fire, which could devastate our beautiful Park!"
Rangers have advised anyone who witnesses the use of fireworks on the site, or barbeques to report it to them on 0116 236 2713 or 07740 406661 or out of hours on 07740 406662 or 07740 406663.
