Officers investigating a report of an assault in Nuneaton are renewing the appeal for witnesses to come forward
A man in his 30s was walking along Kingswood Road between 7.35pm and 7.55pm on Sunday (17 September) when he stopped at a food outlet.
When inside he was approached by two men.
The men are believed to have assaulted the victim, causing facial injuries.
It is not known in which direction the men made off.
Enquiries are ongoing but officers are keen for anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time to come forward. It is believed there were also a number of bystanders in a nearby pub and officers would also like to speak to them to see if they have any information that could help.
Police are issuing stills of a man they are interested in speaking to as he may have information in relation to the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 342 of 17 September.
