The new site off the A5 in Hinckley opens tomorrow.
The newest McDonald’s restaurant in the Midlands is located at Dodwells Island in Hinckley on the border with Nuneaton.
The 190-seat restaurant opens officially on 4th March. The franchisee of the restaurant, Lorraine Lee, owns four outlets. The new branch is her second in Hinckley.
She told us: "It's bright, it's big there's plenty of seating. There's multiple different ways of ordering your food so if you want to order on your phone you can do that, that' what the table numbers are for. If you want to use a kiosk you can do that. If you want to order conventionally at the till you can do that. You can go through the Drive-Thru."
The restaurant will not initially offer home delivery but has been built with that in mind, with a special area for delivery drivers to collect orders.
100 people have been employed at the Dodwells site, but there are still vacancies available.
The new restaurant at Dodwells opens alongside the existing Drive-Thru restaurant on Wheatfield Way that has been open for 21 years after the outlet in Hinckley Town Centre closed down.
Fosse 107 was invited to look around before the official opening of the Dodwells branch. Here’s some of the images from our visit.
