Work is expected to completed by the end of the summer.
The latest pictures show rolled steel joists installed and roof trusses added.
Charnwood Borough council said, "Great to see how much progress has been made so far with converting the former Outwoods ranger's cottage into a visitor centre and café and we can't wait to see it when its finished this summer."
The council began converting the old ranger's cottage into a visitor centre and café on Monday March 8th.
As a result of the the work natural play area is closed for around the first six weeks of the project.
They are also looking for businesses to run the new cafe.
